Last updated: 28 May 2026
1. Publisher and acceptance
These Terms govern the use of Bristol, published by Quentin Arragon, sole proprietor (EI), 39 avenue Verdier, 92120 Montrouge, France (SIRET 847 907 698 00041), referred to below as "the Publisher". Creating an account or using the Bristol desktop application or website constitutes acceptance of these Terms. Full publisher and hosting information is available on the Legal Notice page.
2. Service
Bristol consists of a desktop application for 3D exhibition
planning and the bristol3d.app website (download, account,
dashboard and documentation). It is offered as a free beta
during which features may change, be removed, or contain
defects; the user is responsible for maintaining backups of
.bristol documents. Future paid plans are
described on the Pricing page and
are not available for purchase.
3. Account
To create and use a Bristol account, the user must:
- provide a valid email address;
- be at least 15 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a contract under the law of their country of residence;
- keep account credentials confidential and remain responsible for all activity taking place under the account.
4. Single-device rule
A Bristol account may be signed in on one device at a time. Signing in on a new device ends the previous session. The related data processing is described in the Privacy Policy.
5. User content
Artworks, projects and other content created or imported by
the user ("User Content") remain the user's property.
.bristol documents are stored locally on the
user's device by default and are not transmitted to the
Publisher unless the user explicitly chooses to share them
through the Bristol Viewer (section 6). The user is
responsible for User Content, including any third-party
rights attached to it.
6. Document sharing
Signed-in users may publish a .bristol document
through the Bristol Viewer at
view.bristol3d.app.
By publishing a document, the user:
- grants the Publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store and serve the document for the sole purpose of operating the Bristol Viewer, for the duration the document remains shared;
- acknowledges that the resulting URL is public and accessible without authentication to anyone who has it;
- is solely responsible for the legality of the content published, including third-party intellectual property and personal data of identifiable persons;
- may revoke the share at any time from the desktop application, which deletes the uploaded file.
Documents that are not revoked are automatically deleted
seven days after upload. The Publisher may remove a shared
document on its own initiative in case of breach of these
Terms or receipt of a substantiated complaint. The
Publisher provides no availability or durability guarantee
for shared documents; users should keep the original
.bristol file as their authoritative copy.
7. Acceptable use
The user agrees not to:
- use Bristol for any unlawful purpose;
- reverse-engineer, decompile or interfere with the application beyond what applicable law authorises;
- circumvent the single-device rule, share an account, or resell access;
- disrupt the service for other users or the underlying infrastructure.
8. Intellectual property
The Bristol application, website, name and logo are the property of the Publisher. The user is granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the desktop application in accordance with these Terms.
9. Termination
The user may stop using Bristol at any time and request account deletion by email at contact@bristol3d.app. The Publisher may suspend or terminate an account in case of material breach of these Terms or abusive use of the service.
10. Changes
These Terms may be updated. Material changes are notified by email or in the application with reasonable advance notice. During the notice period, the user may close the account without restriction. After the effective date, continued use of Bristol constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. Consumers residing in the European Union may bring proceedings before the courts of their place of domicile or the competent French courts.
